Hakan Gerçek

Hakan Gerçek was born on March 5, 1964 in Eskişehir. Gerçek, who stepped into his artistic life with the theater stage, completed his entire education from primary school to high school in this city. After graduating from Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory Theater Department in 1988, he started his professional acting career.

Hakan Gerçek, who joined Kent Actors in 1986, took part in many important plays in this troupe until 2008. He also worked as both an actor and director in various private theaters (such as Tiyato Alkış and Aysa Production Theatre). He added a new dimension to his artistic life by establishing his own theater, Tiyatro Gerçek, in 2008.

Gerçek, who has been performing poetry under the direction of Atilla Birkiye at İş Sanat Poetry Nights for many years, continues to contribute to the Turkish art world with his cinema, television and voice-over works.

Hakan Gerçek, who also has experience in theater education, in addition to giving stage lessons at Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory Theater Department, also worked as an instructor in institutions such as Istanbul Akademi and Akademi Kenter. With these works, he continues to contribute not only to acting but also to the next generation of artists.

Hakan Gerçek was deemed worthy of many awards throughout his long and productive career. In 2004, he won the "Most Successful Musical or Comedy Actor of the Year" award at the Afife Theater Awards. He received the title of "Best Actor" at the Lions Theater Awards in 2002 and the title of "Most Successful Actor" at the Avni Dilligil Awards in 1998. These awards reveal his success and talent in artistic life.

In 2008, he founded his own theater named Theater Real. He also performed poetry performances under the direction of Atilla Birkiye at İş Sanat Poetry Nights for years. He does many cinema, television and voice-over works.

He gave stage lessons at Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory Theater Department for a while. Additionally, among the institutions where he gives stage lessons are Istanbul Academy and Akademi Kenter.
