Lale Başar

Lale Başar, born on January 27, 1964, is a theater, TV and cinema artist from Ordu. Immediately after graduating from Hacettepe University State Conservatory in 1986, he joined Bursa State Theater and started his career there. The artist, who was transferred to Ankara State Theater in 1994, attracted attention with his performances on stage and also showed a versatile acting by taking part in television series. He retired from Ankara State Theater in 2009.

Başar crowned his success on stage and screen with various awards. She won the "Best Actress" award at the Berlin Film Festival with the film "Köksüz", and her performance in the same film was appreciated as "Best Supporting Actress" at the Golden Boll in 2014. Ankara Art Institution honored her as a "Commended Actress" in 1994; Bursa Theater Awards selected him as "Artist of the Year" in 1986.

She also received the "Best Supporting Actress Performance" (Köksüz) award at the 47th Cinema Writers Association Awards.

Başar, who took part in many important productions on the theater stage, took the stage in the play "Hamlet" (William Shakespeare) at Cef Theater in 2012. He performed in "Sonluma Bir Haller Oldu" at Sadri Alışık Theater in 2011, in Curth Flatow's play " Kendime Kıyamam" at Ankara State Theater in 2005, in Yaşar Kemal's play "Yer Demir Gök Bakır" in 2003, and in Vladimir Volkoff's play "Aşk Öldürür" in 1999.

He took part in plays such as "Ortakçılar", "Liola" and "Nikah Paper" in 1996, in Jean Genet's production of "Maids" in 1994, and in Bertolt Brecht's play "Caucasian Chalk Circle" at Bursa State Theater in 1990. He also took the stage in works such as "Comedy in the Dark", "Fehim Pasha Mansion", "Public Opinion", "Merchant of Venice", "Like the Voice of a Nightingale", "Sooty Sisli Dirty Misty", "Sevgili Yalan", "Eight Women", "Cabaret" and "Fettah Pashas".

Başar, who received great acclaim in the field of cinema with his movie "Köksüz", was appreciated both on national and international platforms for his role in this production. Other projects in his filmography also reveal his versatile acting talent.
