Levent Ünsal was born on May 19, 1964 in Istanbul. Ünsal, who graduated from Galatasaray High School and Istanbul University Press and Publishing School, started his artistic life as a theater actor at Ferhan Şensoy Theater in 1983. He performed in this theater until 2002 and took part in many plays.
Ünsal also had an important place in the radio and television world. As one of Türkiye's first radio broadcasters, he prepared and presented various programs on Kent FM, Hür FM, Best FM and NTV Radio. Additionally, television game shows "Odd or Even?" and hosted "Rotten Apples." Ünsal, who also has a successful career in voice-over art, is especially remembered for voicing the character Necati in the "Kral Şakir" animation.
Ünsal, who has accomplished many successful works in theater plays, took part in plays such as "They Shoot the Shahs Too", "Three Geniuses", "Cyrano de Bergerac", "Karmakarışık". He was awarded the "Best Comedy Actor" award for his performance in the play "Bird Cage". He also won the "Most Successful Comedy Actor of the Year" award at the Sadri Alışık Awards for his role in the play "Cyrano De Bergerac".
Levent Ünsal also voiced the character of Elephant Necati in the "Kral Şakir" cartoon series broadcast on Cartoon Network Türkiye. Ünsal, who was married to theater actress Pınar Alsan Ünsal, was the father of a son and a daughter. Ünsal, who died of a heart attack in Istanbul on March 21, 2020, was 55 years old. His body was buried in Kocasinan Cemetery.
