Mete İnselel's life began on December 2, 1938 in Artvin and ended unexpectedly in Istanbul on May 15, 1981. İnselel, who was introduced to theater while studying at the Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences in his youth, found his main interest in acting. He developed his talent and stepped into the world of cinema by performing at the Aya Maya Kumpanya Theater, which he founded with Ferhan Şensoy.
İnselel, who usually appeared in comedy films in the cinema, was very successful in portraying pure and naive characters.
