Neriman Uğur, who was born in June 1958 in Fethiye district of Muğla, has been one of the important names of the Turkish theater and cinema world for many years. After graduating from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Acting in 1983, he passed the exam at the State Theaters in the same year and started working as an artist at Bursa Ahmet Vefik Paşa State Theatre.

Uğur, who still continues to work at this institution, started his career in performing arts and then distinguished himself in the world of cinema and television.

In 1997, Uğur was invited to the University of Hartford Faculty of Arts and had the opportunity to study theater in New York. During this experience in the USA, the artist participated in the acting practices of theater pedagogue Franstisek Veres, which gave him a different perspective on his professional development.

However, her real breakthrough came with the character of Gülsüm, whom she played in the TV series Yıldır Hikâyesi, which aired between 1999 and 2002 and starred Memet Ali Alabora and Meltem Cumbul. Thanks to this role, he became a widely known and loved actor.

Neriman Uğur, who is also very active in the world of cinema and TV series, has taken part in popular productions such as Yargı, Yasak Elma, Arka Sokaklar and Siyah İnci. She left deep traces in the memories of the audience, especially with the character of Canan in Siyah İnci and the role of Şahika in Acı Aşk.
