Okan Cabalar

Okan Cabalar, born on August 11, 1980, was born in Izmir and graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Sales Management. After stepping onto the stage with amateur theater works, he acted in places such as Izmir Art Theatre, Aysa Production Children's Theater and Aysa Production Theatre. While he took part in the short films "Kaybedenler", "Minör" and "Öteki Kapı", he performed in the play "Lonely Woman" with Sumru Yavrucuk in 2007-2009.

In 2009, he wrote and staged the play "Haletiruhiye" under the umbrella of Tiyatro Hayalet, and in the same period, he also took part in the films "Eyyvah Eyvah" and "Eyyvah Eyvah 2", starring Ata Demirer.

In 2010, Cabalar played the character of Tankut Sıcan in BKM's television program "Şen Yuva", and a year later, he attracted the attention of the audience with his role as Hakkı in the "5'er Beşer" project. He continued this character in the cabaret program of the same name, "People's World", and appeared on stage with different characters.

In the second season of the TV series "Yalan Dünya", he played Nurhayat's brother Bünyamin Karakaş, and with this performance he won the Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series award at the 4th Antalya Television Awards.

Cabalar mastered improvisational comedy with the master-apprentice relationship he learned from Sumru Yavrucuk and loved to create new characters frequently. The artist, who became interested in acting when his father staged Karagöz-Hacivat plays in his childhood, strengthened his interest in the stage during the time he spent in different cities in the early 90s as the child of teacher parents.

His ability to imitate and portray the movie characters he was influenced by are important factors that increase his diversity and popularity on stage.
