Okan Urun was born in 1983 in Istanbul, Tรผrkiye.
Between 2001 and 2007, he received his undergraduate and graduate studies at the Theater Department of Paris Sorbonne Nouvelle University. During the same period, he attended the Acting department of the Paris Hector Berlioz Municipal Conservatory under the direction of Jean-Louis Bihoreau and Michele Garay. He held workshops with names such as Yves Marc and Claire Heggen.
In 2006, he founded Biriken with Melis Tezkan and realized stage and installation works such as Betrayal in the Near East, Yala Ama Swallowing!, people as places as people and Re: Fwd: die in good company. He has been teaching at Maltepe University Acting Department intermittently since 2008.
