Mehmet Salih İnankur is a Turkish politician who transitioned from teaching to politics and served as a member of the İçel parliament for two terms. He was born in 1904 in Silifke, İçel (today's Mersin), and died on March 8, 1980.

After graduating from teacher training school, he worked as an educator in his hometown Silifke for many years. He taught at various primary schools in the district, and then worked as the head teacher at İnönü School. Besides teaching, he was also engaged in farming. He became a member of the İçel Provincial Permanent Committee in local government.

He entered the Turkish Grand National Assembly with the 1946 elections and became the VIII. He became a member of parliament for İçel during that period. IX was re-elected in the 1950 elections. He also represented the same province during that period.

İnankur is one of the examples of the generation that moved from the local education environment to the parliament during the transition to multi-party life.
