Seth Aaron Rogen was born on April 15, 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Rogen, who grew up as a child of a Jewish family of Ukrainian and Russian origin, discovered his talent for comedy at an early age and started doing stand-up shows when he was only 13 years old. While performing in local comedy clubs during his teenage years, he crossed paths with the person who would be the turning point in his career: producer and director Judd Apatow.

His acting career began when he dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles, where he played the cynical Ken Miller in Apatow's cult classic television series "Freaks and Geeks" (1999-2000). After the early cancellation of this series, he took part in the series "Undeclared" (2001-2002), which was also produced by Apatow, as both an actor and a screenwriter.

Rogen's real breakthrough in the cinema world came with the hit comedy film "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" (2005), also directed by Judd Apatow and starring Steve Carell. His performance in this film and his contributions behind the camera made him one of Hollywood's new generation of comedy stars.

The production that introduced Rogen to a wide audience and brought him to leading role status was the romantic comedy "Knocked Up" (2007), in which he shared the leading role with Katherine Heigl. In the same year, the movie "Superbad" (2007), with a script he and his childhood friend and long-term creative partner Evan Goldberg had been working on since high school, was released and became one of the modern comedy classics.

The duo later joined forces as screenwriters, producers and directors in blockbuster comedy films such as "Üsütük Popolar" (Pineapple Express) (2008), "Buraya Kadar" (This Is the End) (2013) and "The Interview" (2014), which attracted attention with its eventful release process.

Rogen, who is a sought-after name not only in front of the camera but also in the voice-over field; He voiced the character Pumbaa in the "Kung Fu Panda" series, "Monsters vs. Aliens" (2009), his own adult animation "Sausage Party" (2016) and Disney's remake of "The Lion King" (2019). He proved his dramatic talent with his role as Steve Wozniak in the movie "Steve Jobs" (2015) and Steven Spielberg's semi-autobiographical movie "Fabelmans" (The Fabelmans) (2022).
