Suphi Tekniker, one of the valuable names of Turkish cinema and theater, was born on January 10, 1940 in Mersin. Technician, a member of a family with six siblings, started his education life at Mersin High School and then graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Geography. However, his artistic journey started at Istanbul City Theaters with the encouragement of his relative Saim Alpago.
While he took on smaller roles in his first years on the stage, he unexpectedly took over the leading role after a co-star fell ill. This debut attracted the attention of Atฤฑf Yฤฑlmaz, one of the famous directors of the period, and thus he stepped into the world of cinema. The artist passed away in Istanbul on October 20, 2024, at the age of 84.
Following his death, his funeral was held in Ayazaฤa Cemetery after the prayer at Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque on October 22, 2024.
Suphi Tekniker started his acting career in 1960 with the movie "Cici Kรขtibem". In this film, the script of which was written by Erdoฤan Tรผnaล, he starred with names such as Orhan Gรผnลiray and Fatma Girik. In addition to his acting, he wrote scripts for many films since 1975. Tekniker, who won the hearts of the audience with his clean face and natural acting, gave life to unforgettable characters such as the brother-in-law in the movie "Driver", Driver Reลat in "Unfortunate Boy", basketball player in "Tatlฤฑ Dillim", Tulga in "Tarkan: Gรผmรผล Eyer", Ramazan who deceives Gรผllรผ in "Vukuat Var" and the photojournalist in "Cici Katibem".
Technician, who preferred to move behind the camera over time, also worked in fields such as director and screenwriter. In fact, it is known that Suphi Tekniker was the person who advised Ertem Eฤilmez for ลener ลen's role as Badi Ekrem.
