Tuğrul Tülek

Tuğrul Tülek is an actor born in Bursa on September 23, 1976. He has accomplished important works in both theater and cinema.

Tülek, who started his artistic career at Bursa Culture, Art and Tourism Foundation Theater in 1999, graduated from Uludağ University, Department of English Language Teaching in the same year. In 2002, he passed the conservatory exam and started his second undergraduate education at Anadolu University Theater Department and graduated from there in 2006.

During his education, he studied at Akademia Teatralna im. in Warsaw, Poland in 2005-2006. He also studied acting as an exchange student at Aleksandra Zelwerowicza.

An important turning point in Tülek's acting career was the character "Naz" in the play "Furry Merkür", in which she appeared on the stages of Theater DOT in 2007. With this performance, he was nominated for "Best Actor in a Supporting Role" at the 12th Afife Theater Awards. In the same year, he and his cast were deemed worthy of the "Efes Pilsen Youth Special Award" at the Sadri Alışık Theater and Cinema Actors Awards.

In 2015, he received the Best Actor Award from the 19th Afife Theater Awards for his role in "Summer for Two" and was selected as the Actor of the Year by the Theater Critics Association (TEB) in the same year.

Tülek took part in many important productions in both acting and directing. Among his theater works, he performed in plays such as "Fight Night", "Supernova", "Shopping and S***", as well as "Scissors Games" and "Shoot/Loot/Again". Among the plays he directed are works such as "My Love Past", "Where Did All the Flowers Go" and "Special Women List".
