Valencia Basket Club, as one of the most important basketball teams of Valencia, appears in the Spanish league system and European arenas. While the team competes in Liga ACB, the country's top league, it also takes part in the EuroLeague. In the 2025-26 season, despite being down two-nil despite the home advantage in the EuroLeague Play-off round, it managed to advance to the Final Four for the first time in its history by winning three consecutive matches. This success once again revealed how serious a competitor the club is in the international arena.
When we look at the history of the club, sponsorship relations also attract attention. While Valencia BC competed under the sponsorship of *Valencia-Hoja del Lunes* from 1986 to 1987, it was associated with the famous ceramics brand *Pamesa Valencia* between 1987 and 2009. From 2009 to 2011, it took part in the league under the name *Power Electronics Valencia*. These sponsorships increased the team's recognition both locally and internationally.
Nacho Rodilla, one of the legendary players of Valencia Basket, was an important part of the team from 1994 to 2003, when he wore jersey number 11. Likewise, Vรญctor Luengo made his name in the club's history by wearing his jersey number 15 from 1992 to 2007. These players played important roles in the team's past successes and their retired jerseys are remembered with respect.
The team is led by Spanish coach Jaume Ponsarnau. Ponsarnau assumes the leadership of the team as an experienced name who also plays for the national team. While the squad includes team captains and players who are dual citizens, special symbols are used for players who cannot play due to injury. This squad structure allows the team to maintain its competitiveness both locally and internationally.
