Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
Moonton's 5v5 mobile MOBA Mobile Legends: Bang Bang pairs short matches with huge esports events and has become a cultural phenomenon, especially across Southeast Asia.
What is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang?
MLBB is a mobile MOBA by Moonton in which two teams of five try to destroy each other's base across a three-lane map. According to Moonton's announcement of 9 October 2025, the game launched in 2016 and has over 1.5 billion registered users and 110 million monthly active players in 190 countries.
How to play
Each player picks a hero from roles such as tank, fighter, assassin, mage, marksman and support, farms gold and experience, buys items and pushes towers. Matches are much shorter than PC MOBAs and use a virtual stick with ability buttons.
Platforms and business model
Available on Android and iOS, and on Windows via Google Play Games. Free to play with in-app purchases for heroes and skins. Rated PEGI 12 on Google Play (Turkey) and 13+ on the App Store, which notes loot boxes.
Turkish language and Turkey
The App Store lists Turkish as a supported language, and the Google Play listing links to a Turkey community page. Turkish voice-over and a Turkish server could not be confirmed.
Why it became popular
It fit a demanding PC genre onto phones in mobile-first countries. Moonton reports that the M6 World Championship hit 4.12 million peak viewers and that MLBB was the most-watched esports title at SEA Games 32.
