Can Kolukısa, who was born in Eskişehir on May 14, 1934, is one of the well-known character actors of Turkish theater and cinema. After completing Işık High School, he studied theater at the Sorbonne University Theater Institute, a respected institution in France, and married the writer Pınar Kür, whom he met there.
Kolukısa, who stepped onto the stage at Istanbul University Youth Theater in 1953, performed in important companies such as Cep Theatre, Oda Theatre, Dormen Theatre, Sahne Z and Halk Actors. Between 1991 and 1992, he served as artistic director at Gaziantep City Theater and gained management experience.

He started studying at Istanbul University Faculty of Economics in 1953. When he started university, he started acting at Istanbul University Youth Theatre. Can Kolukısa, with his school theater group, participated in the Germany Erlangen University Theater Festival in the 1954-1955 season with the play "Tomorrow Will Be Different" and they came third.

And he studied theater at the Sorbonne Theater Institute in Paris between 1964 and 1966. Between 1966 and 1968, he attended professional acting courses at Unesco / Paris Theater University.
When he returned from Paris, he worked in Cep Theatre, Oda Theatre, Sahne 8, Sahne Z, Küçük Sahne and Halk Actors. He played with valuable actors of Turkish theater such as Mücap Ofluoğlu, Cahit Irgat and Altan Karındaş at the Chamber Theatre. He worked with Haldun Dormen in Küçük Sahne.
