Born in Istanbul on August 3, 1977, Deniz Akkaya worked as a model, actor and presenter as one of the well-known names of the Turkish fashion world. Akkaya's father, the daughter of a Circassian family originating from Kayseri, served as a sea captain. Akkaya, who continued his education in Istanbul, completed his primary, secondary and high school education and then continued his education in the American Language and Literature department at Istanbul University.
Deniz Akkaya, who started her modeling career at a young age, participated in the Elite Look Model competition in 1995. Akkaya, who then started working with Neลe Erberk's agency, won first place in the Best Model of Turkey competition in 1997 and took fourth place in the "Miss Grace of the World" competition.
