Levent Ak, with his stage name Ege, was born on December 15, 1969 in the Bornova district of Izmir. Combining pop and Latin melodies, the singer was first introduced to music in 1987 while studying in the keyboard instruments department at Maria Rita Epik Private Music School. Ege, who soon started playing the guitar his brother gave him as a gift, showed a natural talent for composing and decided to improve himself in this field.
