Emine Sรผndรผz Beder is a Turkish food writer, food consultant and television host. He was born on August 2, 1960 in Akลehir district of Konya. He is among the names that introduce Turkish cuisine to large audiences with his newspaper columns, magazine editorship, cookbooks and television programs.
His life and career
His mother's family is of Rumelian origin and migrated from Thessaloniki to Akลehir after the First World War. Beder acquired his interest in the kitchen and his first knowledge from his father from Akลehir. He graduated from the electrical department of a vocational school, but continued his career in the kitchen field.
Since the 1990s, he has appeared as a consultant and presenter in cooking programs on television. His real breakthrough came in 1994: that year, he won first place in three cooking competitions held across Tรผrkiye and started writing food articles in the Melodi supplement of Sabah newspaper. After writing in this newspaper for a long time, he worked as a food consultant and chief writer in Sofra magazine.
He prepared many cookbooks that were distributed with the Sabah newspaper; He presented cooking programs on different television channels and radios, including his program on Beyaz TV.
He published his books by ฤฐnkฤฑlap Publishing House. In addition to the six-volume Practical Meals series devoted to topics such as meat dishes, pastries, desserts and vegetable dishes, he has two compilation books, including the Big Cookbook. In his works, he also compiled forgotten local dishes and their stories.
