Kurtuluş Şakirağaoğlu is a Turkish actor born on March 10, 1951 in Kırşehir. He gained his stage experience spanning many years at the State Theaters, and later reached a wide audience with his supporting roles in television series and movies.
Theater career
Şakirağaoğlu joined the State Theater staff in 1974 and spent most of his professional life on the stages of this institution. Among the plays he took part in are Kurban, Yer Demir Gök Bakır, At, Simavnalı Şeh Bedrettin, Bir Midsummer Night's Dream (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Mustafa and BKM. This repertoire covers a wide range from domestic drama to classical Western theatre.
TV series and cinema
His work in television intensified in the 2000s. After TV series such as Rüzgarlı Bahçe, Kınalı Kuzular, Hisarbuselik and Aynalar, she played the character of Duran Emmi in Kurtlar Vadisi and became widely known for this role. He played Hikmet in the TV series Unutma Beni and Musa Yağızoğlu in Tozluyaka. Minus 18, Kapı and Cranberry Sherbeti are among the TV series he appeared in.
