Çalışgir, who performed at the Istanbul Theater for seven years from the mid-1960s, then took part in the plays of important theaters such as the Istanbul Chamber Theatre, Muammer Karaca, Nejat Uygur and Yıldırım Önal. He married Bahri Beyat in 1972 and had a son named Ayhan Beyat. After a short break in the theater, she continued to perform at the Nisa Serezli - Tolga Aşkıner theater and returned to the cinema with the movie "Namuslu".
In recent years, he has continued his artistic life by portraying characters in television series. He said goodbye to his wife at 10.30 on Wednesday, August 5, 2008, in Istanbul, where he had been receiving hospital treatment for a long time; His funeral was held at Fatih Saraçhane Reşat Nuri Stage, and then after the afternoon prayer at Fatih Mosque, he was buried in Istanbul Habipler Yayla Cemetery on Thursday, August 6, 2008.
