Tuğrul Meteer is a Turkish cinema and television actor born in Hatay on September 24, 1954. His career, which started in Yeşilçam in the late 1970s, continued with television series in the following decades.
Yeşilçam years
He stepped into cinema around 1977 and soon appeared in the same films as the leading stars of the period. In Dear Son, he played Ahmet, the son of the father played by Cüneyt Arkın; In the same years, he was in the cast of Baba Ocağı and Cemil Döniyorum. Dilek Tasi, in which she shared the leading role with Gülden Karaböcek, became one of the films in which her name is remembered the most.
In the 1980s, he appeared in productions such as The Child of Pain, starring Küçük Emrah, Kara Diken, Dost Yarası, Katiller de Ağlar and Kaplanlar, with Belkıs Akkale.
Television
He has worked mainly in television since the 1990s. 077 Hızır Emergency Service, Doctors and the children's series Bücür Cadı are among his works in this period. In the 2000s, he starred in the TV series Kardelen and Dilan; Between 2016 and 2018, he played the character Cevdet in the cast of Arka Sokaklar. He took part in more than sixty cinema and television productions in total.
In 2017, he was awarded the honorary award together with Nuri Alço and Selda Alkor at the 5th Antakya International Film Festival held in his hometown Hatay.
