Mert ile Gert

Mert and Gert, produced by Plato Film, was one of the comedy series that was broadcast on TRT 1 between 2008 and 2009 and was remembered by its fans for a long time. The series, which said goodbye to the screens with a total of twenty-seven episodes, was remembered as a light and enjoyable breath that the audience did not get tired of laughing at at that time.

Focusing on the story of two siblings born from the same father and different mothers, the series also brought the incredible character differences between Mert and Gert to a colorful screen. Unlike Gert, who was an introverted, thrifty man who always looked at life seriously, Mert was a complete contrast with his extravagance, his attitude that always interpreted life as fun, and his cold-blooded approach.

These differences grow even more when Mert incurs the anger of his landlord, Poyraz Bey, due to his extravagance. Grumpy retiree Poyraz Bey does his best to throw these young people out of the house.

However, everything changes when their aunt, known as Aunt Servet, who has always had a special place in the hearts of her loved ones, moves into the house. Aunt Servet, whose only support for many years was her nephews, is actually a very loving and compassionate woman, but due to her hypochondriac personality, she attracts attention with her grumpy and angry attitude.

Meanwhile, everyone's lives are turned upside down when three beautiful girls appear in front of Mert and enter their lives. The presence of Nazlı, one of the kind and hard-working girls who is Mert's best friend, will open another window in Mert's life. Nazlı's biggest dream, trying to get rid of the beauty problem she has suffered for many years, is to become a good doctor.

Nazlı, who was disturbed by Mert's excessive attention at first, cannot remain indifferent to this attention as she gets used to his sincere attitude.

In this adventure they set out as a team, Mert's love for Nazlı gradually begins to be reciprocated. However, this love journey is such a delicate matter that it requires a long time to convince. The series handles Mert's complex relationship in a mature manner, providing the audience with plenty of reasons to both laugh and think.
