Zeynep Koçak, who was born in Ankara, opened her eyes to life on August 27, 1982. The artist, who started his education at TED Ankara College, then graduated from Çankaya University Faculty of Law.
Koçak, who was interested in both clip directing and short films during his university years, began to attract attention with the projects he put forward during these periods. One of his works, the animated short film Tik Tak, was accepted to more than twenty international festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival, and won various awards.
Koçak has stated on various platforms that he has been struggling with a disease called derealization for many years. This situation inspired him to write about his experiences as well as the difficulties he encountered in his artistic life.
Koçak, who stepped onto the screens in 2021 with the production named Impressive, in which he contributed as a screenwriter, also took part as a screenwriter in the movie We Are Just Friends, directed by Sinem Soylu, in 2022.
