Banu Atabay was born on October 12, 1969 and is a cookbook author known for her "Modest Tastes" series. He is a researcher who has been studying recipes and culinary culture in different regions of Tรผrkiye in depth since 1995. In order to introduce the richness and diversity of Turkish cuisine to the world, it publishes its recipes in nine different languages, supported by visuals.
Banu Atabay, who was born in Ankara, completed her primary, secondary and high school education in the same city. He started his education at Anadolu University, Faculty of Economics, and then continued his education at Ankara University, Faculty of Languages, History and Geography. In addition, he studied the Polish language at the University of Warsaw and has experience in translating some short stories in this language into Turkish.
Before stepping into the teaching profession, he successfully completed his pedagogical formation training at Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education.
Before her writing career, she worked in fields such as clothing design and model making, volunteered in various non-governmental organizations and was interested in portrait photography. His connection with the kitchen was not limited to writing; he also shared his knowledge and experience in this field by preparing and presenting cooking programs for television channels, newspapers and TRT Radio 1.
