How do you book a vehicle inspection appointment?

Driving once your vehicle inspection has run out carries the risk of an administrative fine and of the vehicle being taken off the road. Inspection appointments are booked online or by phone; going to a station without an appointment is possible too, but the wait can be long.

2027 note: A new company has won the tender to operate vehicle inspections, and the handover will take place on 15 August 2027. Until that date, procedures continue through the current operator; after the handover, the booking address and the contact channels may change. 1. Find out your inspection date The vehicle's next inspection date is written on the registration certificate and in the previous inspection report. It can also be seen in the vehicle details on e-Devlet.
2. Complete any missing paperwork Valid compulsory traffic insurance is a must. If it's required, have the exhaust emission test done before the inspection.
3. Clear traffic fines and tax debt Unpaid traffic fines or motor vehicle tax debt can cause trouble during the inspection; check on e-Devlet beforehand.
4. Book an appointment Book an appointment on the inspection operator's official site or through its call center. You'll be asked for your license plate and registration details.
5. Get the vehicle ready for inspection Do the simple checks beforehand: headlights, indicators, brake lights, wipers, tire condition and the horn. Most vehicles fail over these small shortcomings. 💡 If a major defect is found, you may have the right to a free/discounted re-inspection within a certain period; it's stated in the report.
6. Get to the inspection on time Be at the station before your appointment time, and have your registration certificate and insurance document with you.
7. Keep the report Save the inspection report and your next inspection date. If you're late, the penalty applied increases with the length of the delay; check the current amount on the official page.
