The games live at /oyna. There is nothing to download and no plugin to install — you play in the browser, on a phone or tablet too. Watching a table is open to everyone; to play you need a free account.

Three ways to find an opponent

• Find an opponent — choose the game and whether it is a single hand or a scored match, then press the button. You are matched with the first player who chose the same settings and the table is set up for you.
• Open your own table — you open it and wait for someone to arrive. Your waiting table appears in the lobby under “tables waiting for players”.
• Join a waiting table — take a free seat at a table from the list.

You choose who may sit down

• Everyone — anyone who sees it in the lobby.
• Friends only — only people on your friend list.
• Private (with a code) — a join code is generated for the table. The code is shown only to you, sitting at the table; you pass it to whoever you want to invite. Without it nobody can sit down.

The system generates the code — it is not a password you choose, so that it cannot be guessed.

At the table

When it is your turn you roll first (in dice games). Then you move a piece in one of two ways:

• Drag and drop — pick the piece up and drop it on its destination (mouse and touch).
• Click — click the piece, the squares it can reach are highlighted, then click one. Click the same piece again to cancel.

If you have a checker on the bar, click the bar in the middle first. Arrows show which way you are moving.

If the board feels cramped, ⛶ Enlarge opens the game full-screen; Esc leaves it.
