What's in a guide?

Every guide follows the same order, so you know where to look whichever game you pick:

• Goal of the game: a short intro to what you actually do and the core loop.
• Controls: a table of keys and what they do.
• First steps: what to do in your first hours, in order.
• Tips and tactics: concrete advice once you have found your feet.
• Common mistakes and the questions players ask most.

Which version is it written for?

Games change with patches: keys get rebound and numbers shift. That is why every guide ends with the month and game version it was written for. Unless stated otherwise, the controls are the default PC settings, so if you changed your key bindings the table may not match yours.

Between the guide and the game page

Besides PC games, the guides cover mobile titles. Each guide links back to the game's own page, where you will find the overview, videos and, for PC games, system requirements. Going the other way, the page of a game that has a guide, such as Valheim, takes you straight to it. The full list, including games without a guide, is in the Games section.
